3. Dolph Ziggler

There appears to be an element of truth lurking behind the dis-interested character WWE have created for Dolph Ziggler. When Dolph has lectured fans for getting excited over the pomp and circumstance of entrance music or title wins, his chastising words have come across like a warning that the real-life performer could care less these days.

Maybe he's just a really good actor.

Ziggler has been worn down by years of being constantly overlooked by a company he has worked like crazy to impress. At 37, he may never get to the promised land of regular main events, and he's certainly nowhere near a long reign as WWE Champion. It has to be depressing to look across at men like AJ Styles, realise they're older, were previously outsiders and yet somehow sit further ahead.

Cold, apathetic heel Dolph didn't work in 2017. If anything, it made him less of a star.
