10 Signs That You Need A Break From WWE

You know what they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder...

Wrestling isn't just a throwaway hobby for the vast majority of people who call themselves fans of the predetermined sport.

Many would even call it a way of life and if you're a fan of WWE in particular, the chances are you've probably been following the product for quite some time.

With that being said, despite many fans' unwavering loyalty towards the legendary company, there's no shying away from WWE's recent drop in quality over the last few years. But fans will still keep on watching simply because the company's mediocrity has become the acceptable norm to them.

However, I'm here to tell you that a welcome break from WWE would not be the end of the world and with the wrestling scene currently littered with fantastic alternatives to indulge in during your vacation away from Vince McMahon's empire, now is as good a time as ever to do so.

But, how would you know if you've reached the point of some much needed respite from WWE?

Well, if you've experienced any of these signs in recent memory... you probably need to give the company some space for a little while.

10. Being Shocked When A Match Doesn't End In A Roll-Up

If you've regularly watched Raw or SmackDown over the last couples of years, you may have subtly come to expect that around 50-70% of the matches on either show are probably going to end in one particular finish.

The almighty roll-up.

It doesn't matter how big you are, how successful a run you're on or what level of in-ring prowess you possess, a small package or jack-knife pin of some variety will always be around the corner to catch you out when you least expect it.

Fans have accepted that this lazy trope will continue to be used as Vince McMahon's 'genius' way of consistently keeping his stars looking strong even in defeat.

But in truth, these overused finishes don't actually help anyone involved, as the loser comes off looking like a goof and the winner wiggles away with a fluke victory which will no doubt be undone further down the line.

We're now at a point where fans actually rub their eyes in disbelief when a match ends in a definitive finish.

This frustratingly dull device isn't used anywhere near as much in other promotions, so if you feel as though you fall into the category of 'roll-up accepter' you may in fact need to cool off from the WWE product for a little while.
