7. Add A Greater Social Media Aspect

A number of people criticise the WWE for perhaps going overboard with the constant references to Facebook, Twitter, and most recently Tout. But the best thing about the world of social media is that it is the best way to get the fans talking, and make them feel as connected to the product as they possibly can be. The shout-outs from fans, the announcements on Twitter, the fans deciding on matches during episodes of RAW all have contributed to a degree of fan interaction that has extended far beyond the live crowds in the arenas. Superstars are able to build upon their characters and get themselves over with fans in new and original ways, which proves the value of the media within the wrestling business. It is the technology of the moment, and TNA should look to utilise the Internet to its fullest extent to make an impact. Start developing more storylines through Twitter and Facebook, perhaps informing the roster to use it to enhance storyline rivalries and promote upcoming appearances. To an extent TNA does this already, but in order to compete with WWE they need to become inventive and original in the ways they employ the social media. Allow fans to vote on matches and contenders for championships, and perhaps with TNA's possible new movement towards nationwide touring get fans to compel the company to send Impact to an arena near them. This could compliment TNA's effort to make TNA more of a notable force both at home and abroad, and whilst retaining the originality of the product, it would certainly not hurt to make use of the World Wide Web to inform and entice potential new members of a "TNA Universe".
