10 Ways TNA Can Attract More Pro Wrestling Fans

4. Pick A Few Superstars And Push Them To The Moon

austin aries Some people may not like the fact that WWE has decided to push superstars such as John Cena and CM Punk so much that it detracts from many accomplished wrestlers like Tyson Kidd, Justin Gabriel and Drew McIntyre. These superstars are then relegated to the minor shows like Superstars, whilst the biggest in the business headline every PPV and close every broadcast of RAW and Smackdown. Whilst it may not be fair, the WWE has always found prominence by careful and effective selection of their top superstars, and despite occasionally mixing it up, the Cenas and Punks always tend to stay in the spotlight. It has been that way forever it seems, with transitions from Hogan, to Hart, to Michaels, to Austin, to Rock, etc. It guarantees a prominent fanbase that despite the shoddy quality of the rest of the broadcasts, the fans will still tune in to watch their favourites either on the microphone or in the ring. What TNA often does, admirable though it may be, is transition between superstars that will be at the top of their totem pole, and once they are knocked off, a new challenger will emerge. This is compelling for their existing fans, because it makes the show suspenseful and unpredictable as to which challenger will be next to take the World Championship. However, for TNA to progress they should really start picking a few superstars and ensuring that they are always at the top end of the card are never really outside of the most compelling storyline until they are entirely established in the minds of the audience. Wrestlers such as AJ Styles and Austin Aries should be the headlines of every show and PPV, as it potenially will make fans familiar with their presence, and be interested to see what the fuss is all about with these superstars. Furthermore, the WWE retains viewers and gets people debating over superstars that SHOULD be in the spotlight, which keeps them in the public eye despite fans not exactly being enamoured with their superstar selections. Perhaps TNA could benefit by riling a few fans to attract more attention from further afield.
