10 WWE Wrestlers Who Came Back From The Cold
2. Randy Orton
It seems mad to think that Randy Orton, the youngest world champion in WWE history, was once viwed by the corridors of power as anything other than God's gift to wrestling.
But there was a three-year period, in fact, between his losing to Triple H at Unforgiven 2004 and becoming the voice-hearing mega-heel we all know and love towards the end of 2007, that he was kind of, well, floundering. He had little to do, and as a result began exhibiting behaviour - in his own words - "unbecoming of a champion".
This apparently came to a head in April 2006 when the 'Legend Killer' was handed a two-month suspension for "unprofessional conduct". We're not sure exactly what he did but in a locker room where burning people's possessions probably constitutes a practical joke, he must have done something pretty bad to earn such a stern punishment.
When Orton returned, he found himself in a feud with Hulk Hogan, who made short work of the then-26-year-old at SummerSlam. He took nearly a year to recover from that defeat, and while there was little doubt that he would eventually find his way back in Vince's good books, 2006 was undeniably a chilly year for RKO.
