The big story coming out of Monday's Raw is that ex-Universal Champion Seth Rollins will challenge current main man Brock Lesnar for the belt at SummerSlam on 11 August. That WrestleMania 35 rematch might need some sort of 'No Holds Barred' stip to make it worthwhile, but the show did have one refreshing aspect.
Becky Lynch and Seth weren't attached at the hip like high-school lovers who have just started dating. There wasn't even any ass-slappage in sight, or any sign that they were anything other than independent bad-ass wrestlers who happen to be romantically involved. About damn time. The boyfriend and girlfriend gig has been doing nothing for either.
On Raw, Brock's mouthpiece Paul Heyman had some little pearls of insider wisdom to share, so there was no time for mushy goings on anyway. His gems were joined by other things you might've missed. Things like WWE teasing a mega-match, heels hamming it up like it's 1989, Goldberg catching some flak and Alexa Bliss scowling at Long Island's audience.
