5 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Jul 14)

The final episode before all eyes fall upon the Impact Zone for Slammiversary.

Impact 10 women match
Impact Wrestling

Slammiversary is on Saturday evening, making this the go-home episode of Impact Wrestling. Did it make us even more hyped for the pay-per-view? Absolutely.

Every match on the 18 July card was hyped to its full potential between the two hours of Impact programming here. The World Championship match, Knockouts Championship, and knockouts Gauntlet Match, in particular, had decent builds on this episode. In order, Trey and Ace Austin's wild brawl at the end of the night, Jordynne Grace and Deonna Purrazzo's contract signing, and the show-opening ten Knockout tag team match were all brilliant ways to hype up these hotly-anticipated matches on Saturday.

Additionally, we also saw the culmination of Hernandez and Rhino's never-ending arm wrestling contest, the end of The Finesse and Bench Press Express' friendship, and the continuation of Rohit Raju's descent further down the card. He may have been involved in a match featuring an ECW icon and the reigning TNA World Heavyweight Champion (Crazzy Steve was also there), but 'The Desi Hitman' just isn't being used as he should be. It feels as if we mention this every week, but until he finally gets the treatment he deserves, it'll never end.

For the final time before one of the most anticipated events in Impact Wrestling history, let's get to it...
