5 Ups And 1 Down From Last Night's NXT (Jul 15)

Once More, With Leeling.

After the fun and frolics of the past fortnight, NXT had bashed all it could bash and would now bash no more, as your regular scheduled pro-wrestling programming resumed this week. On the agenda, a prospectively thrilling championship match for the division's most dependable performer, and a grudge match weeks in the making.

Arguably the sort of thing that would have gone great on an otherwise quite underwhelming 2nd night of a recent special event, but hey, what do I know!

With Adam Cole's defeat now seeing the Undisputed Era's fabled "prophecy" firmly in the bin, we wait with bated breath to see what the group's next move it. Likewise, with all the gold over his shoulders, a new direction for Kieth Lee is an equally tantalizing prospect.

Away from the very top of the show though, NXT's quietly been building virtually its entire roster in a logical way over the past few months, meaning there's enough goodwill in the brand to tune-in regardless of what's been announced during the week. Just as well really, as virtually nothing was. Onward!!
