6 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Oct 30)
4. The Plot Thickens
Speaking of decent stories.
Yes, WWE went the lazy route by switching the entire Mysterio family vs. Seth Rollins story from Raw to SmackDown. No, both of Rey's children shouldn't turn their backs on him to align with Murphy or the 'Messiah'. However, it's absolutely fine is Aalyah starts polluting the waters by falling in love.
WWE have two ways to play this too. They can either go straight-up and book a blossoming romance story between Aalyah and Murphy, or they can reveal that it was a damn swerve all along and Murph was only f*cking with Aalyah's head to soften up Rey and Dominik some more.
Either way, at least they're adding another wrinkle to the story and not rehashing the same things they did over on Raw. Murphy and Aalyah have become the focal points, not Seth and Rey. WWE just have to make sure they don't turn Dom too for the sake of it.
