6 Ups And 1 Down From Last Night's NXT (29th Apr)

A wonderful distraction, except when it's not.

It's safe to say that the Empty Arena phase of pro-wrestling has now passed comfortably into the Empty Arena Era now, as most of us watching are starting to really have to strain to try and remember what things actually sounded like with a crowd. "The New Normal" as Triple H excitedly called it post-Wrestlemania, is fast becoming "Just How It Is Now, I Guess".

But - positives, positives - there's plenty of enjoyment still to be derived from it all. The bar for NXT's matches might have been lowered slightly, but it's still very high in the context of weekly WWE broadcasting, and the continued tweaks to the format are providing a nice distraction. Well, at least they are when they're actually trying to be a distraction rather than a painful reminder of what's actually going on out there, but more on that later...

This week, Charlotte Flair enters the ring for the first time since being crowned NXT Women's Champion, there's a potentially blockbuster North American Championship match in our main event, and we might even get to see what the Gargano's had for dessert following last week's... thing?

As ever, pro-wrestling shouldn't still be happening right now, but since it is let's go and have some fun with it. Onward!
