6 Ups And 7 Downs From WWE No Mercy 2017

3. Cena Needed A Howitzer

We all expected the John Cena/Roman Reigns match to include numerous kickouts of finishing moves. But Roman kicking out of four Attitude Adjustments.

Come on.

There’s a fine line between a wrestler looking superhuman by kicking out of finishers, and making your finishers look like a joke, or worse, making fans not buy into the finishing moves.

Cena hit Roman with an AA, then a Super AA, and later two consecutive AAs, only for Reigns to kick out of both of them. And then, Roman popped up, hit a Superman Punch and spear and pinned Cena clean.

Seriously, what the actual hell? Roman kicks out of four AAs, but Cena can’t kick out of one spear? (The spear through the table outside doesn’t count since there was a full minute between move and pinfall attempt.)
