6 Ways WWE Can Salvage Apollo Crews

4. Give Him A Manager

As mentioned, Apollo Crews' strength lies in what he does in the ring as opposed to what he does with a microphone in his hand. He isn't a terrible talker by any stretch of the imagination, but so much of what he does is confidence-based that a slight knock can change the tone and impact of the words coming out of his mouth.

History has also taught us that if you're a behemoth of a man who could quite easily lay waste to the opposition, there aren't many more effective things creative can do than putting a mouthpiece by his side. If Crews can do it in the ring, why does he need to talk about it outside?

There aren't a huge amount of managers available in WWE today however, and the art form itself is somewhat lost. On SmackDown Live you have only Maryse, and whilst a new face could be promoted from NXT there may be a better option ready to return to SmackDown TV.

What do you give the man who aesthetically has it all? Give him the female that aesthetically has it all. It might come off as a somewhat awkward pairing, but pairing Apollo Crews with Eva Marie could also be a masterstroke.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
