Show-opening in-ring segments are a permanent fixture in WWE, and SmackDown do them well. Though rarely among the night's biggest highlights, these things are always logical, usually setting the table for a bigger angle or match later in the evening. Predictable? Absolutely. Formulaic? No doubt, but the execution is rarely lacking.

This week saw Team Hell No guest on Miz TV. It was pulsing with chemistry, as the entertaining Daniel Bryan/Kane dynamic meshed with the former General Manager's existing chemistry with his most notable long-term rival. On top of this, Miz excels as a s***-stirrer, and was in his element while attempting to sow discontent between Team Hell No. He bantered both men off by playing a video package highlighting their old troubles, calling Kane's inevitable betrayal of Daniel, then crucifying the "broken down demon," who soon put the fear of god in 'The A-Lister.'

Miz, ever the weasel, was able to escape when Sanity and The Bludgeon Brothers arrived. He was but the facilitator for the tag angle, but came off extremely well. When doesn't he, though? The guy's money.

Though unspectacular, the opening went from A to B to C without getting lost, the back-and-forth was entertaining, and the participants all got something out of it. That's a win.
