Someday soon we're all finally going to emerge from In Our House and step into a bold new era of unpredictable new relationships, scientifically advised compromises, and loads of bloody plexiglass. So, in a way, this week's NXT wasn't so much a wrestling show as it was a bizarre look at life to come.

Good news then, if you're idea of life post-lockdown involves being relentlessly stalked by unblinking blonde men, having your boss shout at you over Zoom, or goths handing you egg-timers because NXT had a whole bunch of that. Plus some wrestling!

With a brand new champion in the women's division and, finally, some closure for the mens, this was a week that should have laid out the show's narrative path for the next few months. What's next for Shirai and Cole was one thing, but would we be getting new directions for Lee? Balor? Gargano? Ripley? Ciampa?
