7 Ups And 2 Downs From WWE NXT (Sep 30)

2. Sitting On Santos Lap

Escorbar Swerve
WWE

A few things here.

1) Why is a babyface complaining that the chances he's been given for the Cruiserweight Championship "not fair"?

2) Why is the dastardly heel actually making some pretty valid points about how he shouldn't be having to face a man he's already beaten... repeatedly.

3) Why is the sympathetic young star who we're supposed to connect with whining the whole way through a zoom call in the middle of a wrestling show?

4) Why is an evil, unforgivable, repellant, disgusting, lying, cheating, bad guy proudly wearing his pin badge to support pancreatic cancer research?

5) Why have NXT booked a promo segment that has enabled Santos Escobar (the bad guy who cares about children's charities) to run rings about Isaiah Swerve Scott (the good guy who's spent the whole thing winging)? Who thought this was a good idea?

For clarity, Swerve is good. Swerve is really good, in fact. He might even be as good as Escobar in the ring. But when it comes to the talking side of it, he's a considerable way behind him. NXT should be programming these segments to play to his strengths, not his weaknesses.
