8 Last-Minute WWE Elimination Chamber 2018 Rumours You Need To Know

Time for a detour.

Undertaker Elimination Chamber
WWE

The Road to WrestleMania passes one of its most important pit-stops this weekend, with the stars of Monday Night Raw descending on Nevada for Elimination Chamber.

With plenty at stake - both the Raw Women's Title and the opportunity to face Brock Lesnar in New Orleans are on the line - the show, as ever, promises to be one of the most exciting of the WWE calendar, even if there are people in Victorian times who can predict the outcome of the main event.

As always, there are a smattering of well-sourced internet rumours currently doing the rounds about exactly what the company has up its sleeve for Sunday. Will we see them crown some new champions, for instance? Will any familiar faces grace us with their presence? And what about CM Punk - is he going to show up? (Well no, obviously).

While it can, at times, seem like we're setting ourselves up for disappointment by buying into online tittle tattle, the final Raw pay-per-view before the Showcase of the Immortals has to be the most likely venue for one of them to come true, right?

8. Sasha Banks Turning Heel

A couple of weeks ago, we were all talking about the possibility of Bayley turning heel for the first time. Now, we're back to wondering whether Sasha Banks could be on the brink of fighting on the side of evil once again.

This certainly makes more sense. Over recent weeks, WWE has been teasing a WrestleMania showdown between The Boss and Royal Rumble winner Asuka, a feud that would work to much greater effect if the former were allowed to even the scales by using the dark arts.

Exactly how Sasha would turn the fans against her isn't entirely clear. The obvious booking angle to play here would be to have her react angrily to being fairly eliminated by one of her peers - Bayley, for instance - throwing them through one of the glass Elimination Chamber pods before storming to the back in a big huff.

But this would mean someone other than the 26-year-old walking out of the T-Mobile Arena with the title. That's a distinct possibility, to be fair, although it's difficult to see how they pivot from this outcome to a singles match at WrestleMania, which is exactly what the Empress of Tomorrow was supposed to have booked herself last month.
