Moose is neither a babyface nor a heel heading into Against All Odds. He doesn’t need to be either or. He merely needs to act as the quote unquote saviour for IMPACT Wrestling in the company’s time of need. The promo package that aired for him last night proved this.
‘The Wrestling God’ noted how the World Championship is the one thing that has evaded him throughout his IMPACT career. He’s defeated legends, he’s had marquee matches, but he’s never reached the top. He would have been both the IMPACT and AEW World Champion if he had beat Rich Swann at Sacrifice, instead claiming that the better man won that night.
All good stuff here. It certainly feels like Moose is leaving the company after the IMPACT Plus special – he’s not a guy who needs the World Championship to be viewed as a major deal, anyway – and regardless of where he ends up, he’ll forever be viewed as an IMPACT guy. He made that much of a name for himself here. In one promo, he proved as much.
