8 Ups & 4 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (10 June)

3. Keeping It Simple

Rosemary Havok

The latest offering between Rosemary and Havok wasn’t a blow-away match, but it was arguably their greatest encounter yet.

Rosemary hitting two Spears right off the bat set the tone perfectly. Everything gelled together so beautifully throughout that it was such a seamless affair. Havok would later counter another Spear into a nice gutwrench suplex, playing up the typical David vs. Goliath story as she dominated ‘The Demon Assassin’. Another two Spears saw Rosemary come out victorious, ruling out the chance of Havok entering Against All Odds’ Knockouts Championship match.

There was some good stuff in this, including the aforementioned quartet of Spears, but ultimately, there wasn’t any requirement for Havok to be added to the bout. This simply acted as a way to have Rosemary and Havok join forces by the looks of things; Rosemary motioned post-match that there could be big things for the duo if they did such a thing, hence why they were ambushed post-match by Kimber Lee, Susan, and Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo.

Deonna trapped Rosemary in her Venus di Milo submission, making use of the trope of the champion weakening their challenger ahead of a marquee title bout. Nice work all around here.
