AEW Beats NXT In Week 3 Of 'Wednesday Night Wars'

But ratings for both shows are down once again.

AEW's Dynamite has conquered NXT for ratings supremacy for the third straight week, though both shows saw their viewership drop.

The third episode of AEW's flagship drew an average of 1.014 million viewers, virtually identical to the 1.018 million who tuned in last week. However, there is an asterisk to consider: Wednesday's show faced zero baseball competition after the Yankees vs. Astros game was called off due to heavy rainfall.

Meanwhile, over on USA, NXT dropped from an average of 790,000 watchers to just 712,000, representing a 10% decline on last week's number.

In the crucial 18-49 demographic, AEW drew an encouraging 0.44 rating, largely consistent with last week's figure. NXT attracted 0.2. The only demographic in which NXT had the edge over AEW was in the over-50s category.

Both shows had been expected to rebound from last week's numbers, which faced stiff competition from the Washington Nationals/Los Angeles Dodgers Major League Baseball game.

In the three weeks since it began airing on TNT, AEW Dynamite has beat NXT on USA on every occasion.
