AEW Taping Several Episodes Of Dynamite This Week?

A smart move all round.

Sammy Guevara Jake Hager press up
AEW

It what sounds like a smart move, given the current situation, AEW looks set to follow WWE's lead by taping more footage than usual in Jacksonville, Florida this Wednesday evening.

This news comes to us from Dave Meltzer's Daily Update on Figure Four Online. While there's no word on how much footage AEW intends on capturing and how many shows it could span, Meltzer writes that "AEW will be doing a lot of taping on Wednesday," suggesting that they'll go beyond this week's episode of Dynamite.

Cody vs. Jimmy Havoc and an AAA Mega Campeonato bout between champion Kenny Omega and Sammy Guevara have been added over the past couple of days. It's noted, however, that the pitched Wardlow vs. Luchasaurus Lumberjack Match will have to be altered, as restrictions on the number of people AEW can gather together may make the stipulation impossible.

It makes all the sense in the world for wrestling promotions to get as much recording done as possible at the moment, as there's no telling when the United States could go into full lockdown. As reported yesterday, WWE plans on taping all the way through to the Raw after WrestleMania 36 this week.
