Alexa Bliss has called for WWE to start booking women in more prominent main event roles.

Speaking on a recent episode of Table Talk, Bliss said that she believes "it's time to have more women as main-eventers and see how that goes," following on from comments on the WrestleMania 35 main event, where Becky Lynch became a double Women's Champion by felling Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey. This was the first time women had ever main-evented 'The Showcase of the Immortals."

Alexa said that she'd love to headline 'Mania herself someday, adding that "the Women's Evolution has done amazing things and it was a great accomplishment for every woman in the company for us to main event WrestleMania."

Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair became the first women to main event a WWE pay-per-view when they faced off for the RAW Women's Championship at Hell In A Cell 2016. The scene has only grown in strength since then, leading to the Rousey/Lynch/Flair match at WM36. Currently, Banks, Bayley, and Asuka are putting on some of the most acclaimed work during a difficult period for WWE, while NXT's division remains as strong as ever.

All three women who headlined 'Mania 36 are presently sidelined for various reasons.
