Backstage WWE Update On Sasha Banks
A new update on the Boss' current WWE status.
Having been absent from WWE television for several weeks now, there is somewhat of an update on Sasha Banks's WWE status.
As per Fightful Select, Banks was at this past Friday's SmackDown. While the Boss obviously didn't appear on TV that night, Fightful adds how they have not heard of any creative plans being on the table for Banks right now - although, given how WWE is WWE, that could change at the drop of a hat.
Sasha last wrestled on the 7 August WWE SuperShow live event, losing a short match against Bianca Belair.
Since then, Banks was absent from several house shows due to "unforeseen circumstances", before she was then missing from this year's SummerSlam PPV due to what has been reported as "personal reasons". Of course, Sasha would eventually be replaced by Becky Lynch at the Biggest Show of the Summer, with the Man returning and beating Belair to become the new SmackDown Women's Champion.
While the wrestling world has sent plentiful positive vibes in Sasha Banks' direction during recent weeks, the vast majority of fans were irked at how WWE continued to advertise the Banks vs. Belair bout before and even during SummerSlam - despite the company purportedly knowing about Sasha's absence at least a week in advance.
