Brock Lesnar could be back in WWE within the next three months.

This is according to a new report from Dave Meltzer, who, on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, stated that he expected 'The Beast Incarnate' to work SummerSlam 2020 on 23 August regardless of whether or not live crowds have returned by then.

This would contradict a previous report stating that Lesnar would be inactive until the ongoing global health crisis has ended. Lesnar, who resides in Canada, has not appeared for WWE since dropping his WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36.

SummerSlam 2020 is in a weird spot at the moment. The pay-per-view is still being advertised for Boston's TD Garden, though the city's mayor has effectively put his foot down on that happening. Reports suggest Vince McMahon is keen for what is traditionally one of the biggest shows of the year to go down before a live audience, however, and it's all but certain that the location will have to be changed.

As far as Lesnar goes, it'll be interesting to see what WWE may have planned for him if he does return for SummerSlam. A return to the World Title scene wouldn't be out of the question.
