Chris Jericho Announces Fozzy Show On Same Day As WrestleMania 34

Y2J WON'T be on the Grandest Stage Of Them All this year.

Chris Jericho's band Fozzy announced their latest series of upcoming North American tour dates yesterday afternoon, with one show standing out in particular: an 8 April 2018 concert in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire.

This is the same date as WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans. With Jericho set to be halfway across the country playing a rock concert that night, it's safe to say he won't be involved with the biggest WWE show of the year.

Y2J's WWE status has been brought into question several times over the past few months. He's set to promote his Rock 'N' Wrestling Rager cruise without the company's support next October, and will compete against Kenny Omega at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 12 on 4 January. Jericho has stated that he took the booking with the promotion's consent, but this scheduling conflict suggests he isn't in their booking plans ahead of WrestleMania.

While his dual life as a rockstar/professional wrestler means his schedule is always up in the air, there's now a strong chance that we might not see Jericho again until late 2018, given the tour dates. Interestingly, Fozzy haven't scheduled a show for 25 March, which is when NJPW returns to Long Beach, California.
