With Chris Jericho set to defend his AEW World Championship against Darby Allin on next week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, said match has now had a stipulation added to it.

Announced by Le Champion himself on social media, Jericho vs. Allin will now be a Philadelphia Street Fight.

This past Wednesday’s Dynamite saw Darby Allin defeat Jimmy Havoc for a shot at the AEW World Championship on next week’s show.

In the announcement video, Jericho made mention that his match against Allin will be the biggest of Allin’s career, and that’s no lie. Having only debuted in 2015, the 26-year-old has quickly made waves for his work in the likes of EVOLVE and World Wrestling Network – but, for sure, this AEW World Championship match is indeed the biggest of The Roof of Doom’s career so far.

Given the rampant crowd expected at The Liacouras Center, Philadelphia for next week’s Dynamite, a good ol’ Street Fight is only going to make this title match even more must-see. And for Jericho, this gives the veteran yet another chance to work with one of AEW’s rising stars – with the iconic Canadian already having worked with Adam Page and Sammy Guevara in AEW’s short lifespan.
