For those who’ve been enjoying Chris Jericho’s sporadic appearances at the AEW commentary table, it looks as if you’re about to be hearing a lot more of Le Champion at the booth.

Speaking on Rasslin with Brandon F. Walker, Jericho revealed he’ll be a regular commentator on a new show that AEW is soon to serve up. Presumably, the Demo God is referring to the recently announced AEW Dark: Elevation weekly series that’s due to start on Monday 15 March. Tony Khan does have plans for another TNT show to premiere before 2021 is over, mind.

As explained by the inaugural AEW World Champion during this podcast appearance (courtesy of Post Wrestling):

“I’ll continue to wrestle, but it’s great to know that there’s still that kind of commentary side of things that we can do. And there’s actually another show that’s gonna be starting very soon where I’m gonna be one of the regular commentators, and that’s exciting.”

During this same chat, Jericho did reiterate how he physically feels great and that he still thinks he has the potential to have the best match of the night on whatever card he’s on – stating how he has no plans to hang up the boots yet, just that he sees commentary as a way to “stay on the show when the wrestling days are done”.

Where AEW Dark: Elevation is concerned, Tony Schiavone and Paul Wight will be the mainstay commentary team for this upcoming YouTube show. And if Chris Jericho is to be believed, he’ll be swinging by to bring his own unique charisma to Elevation on a recurring basis.
