CM Punk Blasts WWE "It Doesn’t Mean Anything. It’s Fake."
UFC trainee opens up about his WWE past and talks about AJ Lee pregnancy rumour.
UFC trainee and former WWE wrestler CM Punk has talked about his exit from pro wrestling. He was speaking on Sunday as part of a Q and A session at Chicago Comic Con. I just couldnt do it any more," Punk said about WWE. "It didnt make any sense to me. I would put my boots on and shuffle my feet and walk out there and be like, I dont even know. It doesnt mean anything. Its fake.' That last line has resulted in a large amount of heat for Punk in social media and fan forums. To cheapen his own WWE career and the wider wrestling fraternity, it is the kind of comment that he would've scoffed at just a few years ago. Indeed, during his WWE career, it meant a lot to him. He was reportedly obsessed with the idea of closing WrestleMania and the meaning that carried. Punk also commented on rumours that his wife AJ Lee had retired from WWE due to a pregnancy. Nope, no truth to that," he said. He's not happy at the way his comments from Comic Con have been interpreted and tweeted "I literally prefaced my comments at my @c2e2 panel saying people would take one line and use it as out of context click bait. If you are reading that s*** and getting mad, be mad because you are too stupid to read exactly what I said. I cannot help you. You are dumb." The disenchanted wrestler is continuing in his UFC training but is still some way off being ready to fight. It could even end up being 2016 before he finally steps into the Octagon.
