CM Punk Reportedly Cost AJ Lee Her Chance On Total Divas

Paige and Alicia Fox will join the show, AJ left out in the cold.

AJ Lee is not being added to the cast of Total Divas due to her marriage with CM Punk, reports f4wonline.com. Despite being Diva's Champion, she is now one of the few WWE ladies not to be featured on the reality television show. The most recent additions to Total Divas were Paige and Alicia Fox, with both girls set to debut when the new season gets underway in January 2015. That leaves just AJ, Lana, Emma, Lilian Garcia, Eden, Renee Young and Tamina Snuka as the only main roster girls not featured on Total Divas. Tamina is on the injured list, and Lilian, Eden, Lana and Renee aren't wrestlers. So really, AJ and Emma are the only female wrestlers to be snubbed. Emma's omission is probably due to the arrest she had over an iPad case theft in June 2014. The company hasn't done anything with the Australian since the incident. AJ's omission from the show looks like WWE's way of slighting CM Punk. They're using her to get to him. It goes without saying that Total Divas is a lucrative commercial opportunity. By not allowing AJ to take on a new role, WWE are punishing the Brooks household. There's still severe bad feeling over the way Punk quit WWE in January and later launched a legal letter at the company. It's unknown how AJ is handling her strange situation, but she is reportedly a loner in the WWE ladies locker room. Given her lack of sociability with the other girls, she probably would've been a strange fit for the show. Another thing worth noting, Stephanie McMahon has denied a story that any diva with the women's title is barred from appearing on Total Divas. That means AJ's omission is not related to the belt and chances are we'll see Paige or one of the other 'Total Divas' with the championship in due course.
