CM Punk Reveals His Dream AEW Opponents
Jon Moxley, Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega don't make CM Punk's AEW wishlist.
CM Punk has named five different wrestlers he'd like to work with if he ever wrestled for AEW, but top stars like Kenny Omega, Jon Moxley and Chris Jericho are nowhere to be found on the list.
Punk conducted a brief Q&A session on his Twitter page recently, and happily answered questions on everything from WWE to AEW. When one fan asked who he'd like to wrestle in the latter, Punk got creative and looked towards the younger side of the roster.
He said he sees "five guys that have potential": Will Hobbs, Darby Allin, Brian Pillman Jr, Ricky Starks and Jungle Boy. Those are the fellas Punk would pick out first if he had the option and was ever going to work some dates for AEW.
Brownie points to the man for referring to Allin as "Darbs" too.
Some other fans noted their surprise that Punk hadn't named MJF in his top five. The former WWE star didn't bother replying to any of those comments though - he'd wrapped up the Q&A by then.
He did, however, also say this in his original tweet: "That’s not to say there [aren't] others, but those guys stick out".
