Daniel Bryan Mentions AEW's Chris Jericho On WWE SmackDown

Daniel Bryan teased a quick Chris Jericho reference on the latest episode of WWE SmackDown.

It happened during a backstage promo skit with Kevin Owens and Cesaro - Daniel said that he couldn't trust KO after eating a Stunner last week. He also noted Owens' history of turning on his tag-team partners before their big six-man tag main event together.

That's when Dan kinda' name-dropped AEW's 'Demo God'.

Bryan turned to Cesaro and said, "Y'know what, there's a big name I'm missing". Then, he looked directly into Kevin's eyes and blurted out, "I should've made a list". Ding ding ding! There's your winner, folks. That was a direct reference to Jericho and his old, "List Of Jericho" gimmick.

Owens couldn't help but giggle when he heard that one.

This is just the latest AEW reference on WWE TV, but it's a rare one for Jericho. He famously told fans that he'd never bring that character back. He doesn't need to, because WWE just beat him to it. Look out for a possible sly rebuttal from the man himself on Dynamite soon.
