The United States Title
The U.S Title is a hard one to judge prestige level of. To start with the belt originally came from WCW and was entered into the WWF during the Invasion angle when WWF bought out WCW. Now back in WCW I would have said that the belt still had some prestige despite the awful booking that Russo put the belt through, the belt was held by some of WCW's greats like Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat and even after it arrived in WWF/E it was still treated well and with respect, being held by both Eddie Gurrereo and John Cena on their paths to the main even card and even already established Main event stars like Booker T and Kurt Angle. However in recent matches the title has been treated rather badly, the lowest point is the current champion, Antonio Cesaro, winning the belt when Santino Marella's 'cobra' got distracted by Antonio's girlfriend at ringside, this is a sock on Santino's hand that is attracted to someone. Now ignoring my personal feelings that a comedy jobber like Santino should never be allowed near any championship title, this storyline, which looks like it will continue as well, is just dragging the title through the dirt and shows just how little the WWE care about this title, and if they don't care then why should we?
