The entire first round of AEW's tournament to crown a number one contender to Jon Moxley's World Championship will air on this week's episode of Dynamite, the promotion has announced.

AEW tweeted the following on Sunday:-

The quarter and semi-finals will then go down sometime between now and 7 November, with the finals taking place at Full Gear 2020. Moxley remains the AEW World Champion after defeating Lance Archer on last week's show and while there's no official word on who he'll face at the pay-per-view yet, he remains locked in an ugly war with Eddie Kingston.

That Kenny Omega and Hangman Page are on opposite sides of the bracket possibly forecasts the finals.

Last week saw AEW state that "the first match" in the tournament would air on the upcoming episode of Dynamite. No further information was provided.

Also set for the 21 October episode of Dynamite are Chris Jericho and MJF's 'Le Dinner Debonair,' Britt Baker vs. an unnamed opponent, and a Tag Team Title contender's bout pitting The Young Bucks, Private Party, John Silver and Alex Reynolds, and The Butcher and The Blade against each other.
