With their having been plentiful speculation that Chelsea Green is set to return to WWE imminently, the star herself has taken to social media to tease a Royal Rumble appearance.

The one-time IMPACT Knockouts Champion posted a GIF on Twitter showing her entrance for the 2020's women's Royal Rumble match.

Chelsea was one of the many, many names released by WWE during the pandemic, with the former Laurel Van Ness being a part of the market leader's April 2021 "budget cuts".

Green had been with WWE since 2018 and unfortunately had several main roster call-ups scuppered by injuries and creative changes. Following her WWE release, the Canadian has competed for the likes of IMPACT Wrestling, the NWA, GCW and was involved in Ring of Honor before the promotion was purchased by AEW's Tony Khan.

With Paul 'Triple H' Levesque now steering the WWE ship, reports emerged in October that Chelsea Green was another name the Game was looking to bring back to the company. Such reports were followed in November by claims that Green's return was a "done deal", and earlier this month saw it noted how the 31-year-old has already re-signed with WWE and is just "awaiting creative" ahead of returning to WWE programming.

In addition to rumours of Chelsea returning at the Royal Rumble next weekend, there's also been plentiful speculation the her husband, Matt Cardona, could likewise return to WWE - either for a one-off appearance or in a full-time capacity - at the upcoming Premium Live Event.
