Charlotte Flair will be making her long awaited NXT in-ring return when she takes on Bianca Belair on next Wednesday's edition of NXT.

After parring off Belair in the lead-up to the 'EST's NXT Women's title match Vs Champion Rhea Ripley at NXT Takeover: Portland and subsequently attacking the former cross-fit star after said match, Belair came out on NXT last week and issued a challenge to 'The Queen'.

WWE issued the following statement on the impending match-up:

'The Queen is coming to NXT to give The EST exactly what she asked for.

Charlotte Flair will wrestle her first match on the black-and-gold brand in more than four years this Wednesday night when she looks to settle the score with Bianca Belair.

Accepting Rhea Ripley’s WrestleMania challenge, Flair attacked The Nightmare immediately following her victory over Belair at NXT TakeOver: Portland. But the NXT Women’s Champion wasn’t the only target of The Queen, who also sent The EST careening into the steel steps before exiting.

Belair, who already felt disrespected after Flair’s last appearance on NXT, responded by commandeering the ring during the match between Kayden Carter and Chelsea Green this past week to call out Charlotte — and she didn’t mince words about her intentions.'

Flair seems to be focussed on the upcoming match up and even posted on Twitter that 'NXT Women calling out The Queen is apparently the trending thing to do. I would want to face the best too. See you Wednesday.'

This marks yet another twist in the narrative being spun between Flair, Belair and Ripley, after Flair finally announced she would be challenging for Ripley's NXT Women's gold at WrestleMania 36.

Could Belair force herself into that match-up with a victory over the 2020 Royal Rumble winner?

It wouldn't hurt, right?
