IMPACT Wrestling will host two tournaments in the imminent future, the first of which begins as soon as next Thursday's IMPACT broadcast.

That tournament will feature three triple threat matches, the winners of which will advance to Bound For Glory on 23 October to crown a new X Division Champion. That title had previously been vacated by Josh Alexander invoking Option C to challenge Christian Cage for the World Title on 23 October. The first match in the tournament will feature Trey Miguel, Laredo Kid, and the debuting Alex Zayne, who Fightful Select had reported was at the weekend tapings.

Knockouts Knockdown - the next IMPACT Plus and Ultimate Insiders monthly special on 9 October - will also feature a tournament, with four knockouts and four free agents competing to crown a Knockouts Title contender for either Deonna Purrazzo or Mickie James post-Bound For Glory.

No competitors have yet been announced for the tournament, though Lady Frost, Renee Michelle, and Mercedes Martinez have been announced as free agents partaking in the event.

This follows in the footsteps of IMPACT's Homecoming tournament in July, an intergender tag team tournament won by Deonna Purrazzo and Matthew Rehwoldt that went down to great reviews.
