WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair is set to be written off television imminently, according to WrestlingNews.co.

The website reported this and other details from a WWE source relating to 'The Nature Boy's recent return. They noted that "Flair was brought back to the show because Vince McMahon wanted as much star power as possible with ratings declining and several big names not available", and also that "it was known from the start when he was brought in for the role that this would be a temporary thing."

Flair returned to the red brand in a regular capacity as an advisor to Randy Orton after 'The Viper' was successful in Backlash's Greatest Wrestling Match Ever against Edge. 'The Dirtiest Player In The Game' appeared first as an aide to Christian before revealing his alliance with Orton before their impromptu Raw main event.

Orton will face The Big Show tomorrow night to conclude a television programme that's also featured 'Slick Ric'. This could potentially mark the end of his and The Big Show's current run, unless WWE choose to extend the feud or Flair and Orton's partnership through to 'The Apex Predator's rumoured SummerSlam WWE Championship match with Drew McIntyre.
