Matt Hardy bled a gusher on last night's AEW Dynamite, getting his forehead busted wide open during a heated angle with Sammy Guevara.

The segment began with the tag wrestling legend cutting a promo on 'The Spanish God,' whom he'd been feuding with prior to Guevara's recent 30-day suspension, reprising the rivalry by costing Sammy the pinfall in last week's Inner Circle vs. Jurassic Express/Best Friends bout.

Hardy said that after Sammy had spurned his advice, he was out to teach Guevara a lesson. The Inner Circle man crept out from beneath the ring and launched into an attack. From there, the brawl spilt to the ringside area, with Sammy launched into the timekeeper's table before recovering, launching a chair at Hardy's face, and opening him up.

Guevara flew from the stage soon after, flip-splashing his foe through a table. Matt's face was already a crimson mess by this point. Blood poured down his features, soaked his hair, and pooled on the floor, making for a grisly visual.

Per Fightful Select, Hardy needed 13 stitches to close the wound after the show. He is said to be fine despite suffering significant blood loss.
