Mick Foley Predicts Eva Marie WWE Greatness In One Year

Is Eva Marie going to be a star? Mick Foley thinks so.

WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley does a great job of interacting with fans on social media and he's not afraid to throw out opinions that aren't always popular. Following this week's NXT, Foley went on Facebook to predict that Eva Marie will be in a great match at a big show within one year. Here's part of what he wrote:

WITHIN ONE YEAR €#€ŽWWE€ Diva €#€ŽEvaMarie€ will be in a great match at a big show with €#€ŽSashaBanks€ €#€ŽBeckyLynch€ €#€ŽMsCharlotte€ €#€ŽBayley€ €#€ŽNatalya€ or €#€ŽPaige€ I'm not saying the match will be all her doing, but history doesn't remember who came up with the ideas, or who carried the match; history remembers who was in it. And despite the problems she seems to have with some of her €#€ŽTotalDivas€ co-stars, fellow wrestlers, and the heat - bordering on nuclear - that she has with some wrestling fans, Eva Marie's improvement from week to week in recent matches has shown me she has the drive, determination, and that intangible "it" factor necessary to accomplish something special with one of the super-talented ladies of WWE/NXT.
Foley also wrote a long paragraph about training and the different forms of it. He also had a lot of praise for former WWE wrestler Brian Kendrick, who helped train Eva in California earlier this year, which was featured on Total Divas: "Kendrick is a GREAT trainer, with a gift for bringing out the best in students - and, from what I can see, Eva Marie has been the beneficiary of that gift." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojsCMWtc11A He ended his discussion on Eva Marie predicting greatness one more time.
I'm not saying that Eva will be able to approach some of the masterpieces I've seen in the last 16 months - from Natalya/Charlotte to the Fatal 4 Way, to Bank's statements (see what I did there) with Becky Lynch and Bayley. But within a year, one of those ladies is going to find themselves standing in the ring with the much maligned Eva Marie...and something great will happen.
It's a bold prediction and something a lot of people probably don't agree with, but Foley has an eye for talent since he's been part of wrestling for over 30 years and he's certainly seen his share of people that were doubted by fans as well. He's right in saying that she has improved because she has. It's just that she has a long way to go and she may never get it. Her offensive moves are okay and she knows she's a heel that is able to p**s off the fans, but there are a lot of basic things that seem difficult for her. This past week on NXT she didn't kick out of a nearfall in time and the crowd ripped her for it. Do you think Eva Marie has greatness in her? Let us know in the comments below.
