Monday's WWE Raw Will Be Ultimate Warrior Tribute Show

The April 14th Raw this coming Monday from Birmingham, Alabama will be a tribute show for Ultimate Warrior, reports f4wonline. The news will be welcomed by WWE fans who are still reeling from Warrior's sudden death aged 54 this past Tuesday. Coming just days after his Hall of Fame induction and triumphant Raw return promo, his death appears to have really hit the wrestling community in a way no wrestler death has for many years now. WWE's response reflects this, they rarely book Raw tribute shows, although manager Paul Bearer's passing was granted a special in 2013. Before that you are going back as far as the mis-judged Benoit Memorial Raw back in 2007 before the true details of his death were revealed. By booking a tribute show it will give the WWE performers a chance to pay their public respects. Expect various interviews and segments talking about Warrior. We may even see some surprise tributes, it would certainly be fitting if Hulk Hogan or Vince McMahon shared some Warrior memories. The other thing we can expect is match tributes, someone like John Cena might incorporate some of Warrior's move-set for example. Batista might do the rope shake and point to the sky, he remarked on Twitter that the move has always been a homage to Warrior. It seems likely that we might also see a performer replicate Warrior's face paint or ring-gear colours. Different superstars will have their own way of paying respect. All reports from WrestleMania weekend show Warrior as a guy who created a great impression on the young locker room, the WWE is genuinely saddened by his death with so many talent saying they had a great time with him over the last week. We all look forward to a respectful Raw, if tribute shows like the Eddie or Owen ones are anything to go off, this should be a memorable night.
