New Champion Crowned On WWE RAW

This one's gonna have people fired up...

Bayley Sasha Banks
WWE

Sasha Banks is your new WWE RAW Women's Champion - and it's official this time.

'The Boss' met Asuka in a Horror Show at Extreme Rules rematch on last night's show, with the rules stipulating that the belt could change hands on a countout, disqualification, or through interference on either side. A typically excellent bout played out. Both women worked extremely hard to deliver a heated, character-fuelled clash on par with their pay-per-view showdown, leading, unfortunately, to a screwy finish.

Kairi Sane had chased Bayley from ringside at the top of the match. RAW's cameras cut backstage near the end, with Bayley unleashing a backstage beatdown on 'The Pirate Princess' so severe that Asuka decided defending her friend was more important than defending her title. She left the ring, the referee counted her out, and Banks was declared the new champion.

Extreme Rules saw Sasha claim the belt as her own after Asuka had accidentally misted the referee, allowing Bayley to blast her with a belt, grab the ref's shirt, and count the three. Now, it is official.

There's no word on whether or not the Asuka/Banks feud will continue beyond this though 'The Empress of Tomorrow's' post-match fury suggests it might.
