News From Samoa Joe's Final Ring Of Honor Event

Joe competed in a tag match after ROH's TV tapings took place.

Samoa Joe wrestled his final event for Ring of Honor on Saturday night in New York City. He teamed with AJ Styles to defeat ROH Tag Team Champions Christopher Daniels and Kazarian in a non-title dark match that took place after the TV tapings. The reason it was his last ROH match is because he recently signed a full time contract with WWE. They are going to allow him to finish his independent bookings into early August, but after that it's WWE only. This match was originally scheduled to be a part of the TV taping that took place on Saturday until WWE shut it down because ROH airs on Destination America now. https://twitter.com/SamoaJoe/status/612499597634760704 According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the match ended with Joe hitting a Muscle Buster and Styles hitting a Styles Clash leading to the win for their team. After the match, Joe did a speech about how the best wrestlers in the world competed in a ROH ring. He said that if this is the last time he's in a ROH ring, he's going to carry on what it meant to be in ROH and show it with his heart to everyone in the world. Joe ended the promo saying that he is Samoa Joe, he is pro wrestling and he is that because he wrestled in Ring of Honor. Other members of the ROH locker room showed him respect as the night came to a close.
