The performer formerly known as Nia Jax may be completely done with professional wrestling.

Fanene tweeted to that effect on Monday, referencing reports on her dropping her old ring name from her social media profiles.

Here's what the 37-year-old had to say:-

Lol! Newflash..Lina is my real name. It’s not another “ring” name. It’s just MY NAME, the name given to me at birth. Calm TF down trolls. In all fairness, “Opponent Crippler” would be a SOLID front runner if I ever decide to wrestle again. but it’s highly unlikely

Fanene was one of eight WWE wrestlers released by the company as part of the company's latest round of "budget cuts" on 18 November. Should she choose to do so, she will be free to wrestle elsewhere upon her 90-day non-compete clause's expiration on 16 November 2022.

But while Fanene may not be planning on competing anytime soon, she has teased an appearance on Renee Paquette's Oral Sessions podcast:-

Lol don’t worry, I’ll be chatting (spilling gossip) with @ReneePaquette eventually

Fanene had been off WWE television since 20 September at the time of her release. She has since claimed that she was let go while on a mental health break.
