Is bristly boy CM Punk behaving himself in AEW?

CM Punk's return to AEW appears to be going well behind the scenes, with the former World Champion earning praise for his leadership on the Collision brand.

PW Torch's Wade Keller has reported as much. Despite some concerns surrounding his 17 June return promo, in which he referred to Matt and Nick Jackson as "Counterfeit Bucks", Punk is "showing good leadership backstage so far at Collision."

The wrestling veteran is understood to have pride in Collision as "his show." He wants to do as much as he possibly can to ensure the show is a smooth operation, both onscreen and off.

CM Punk returned to AEW for Collision's launch episode on 17 June. He has been a staple in the Saturday night main event scene ever since, competing in three of the brand's four headliners to date, with his most recent outing being a victory over long-time rival Samoa Joe on last week's episode.

Pre-Collision, Punk had been away from AEW since All Out in September 2022, where he not only earned an indefinite suspension for brawling with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks, but also tore his triceps in a match with Jon Moxley.
