It's not always blue on Friday nights.

Showbuzz Daily have reported that this week's Friday Night Smackdown managed to score an average 2.49 million viewers, which was a slight increase from last week's efforts.

Including the likes of The Bella Twins, Daniel Bryan, The Fiend and Goldberg on this week's product seems to have kept eyes on the blue brand for the last edition of SmackDown before WWE jet out to Saudi Arabia once more for Thursday's Super Showdown.

It wasn't all good news, however, as the show still suffered a drop off in the second hour. Yet, the numbers stayed steady for the Golberg/Fiend showdown which closed the show.

Next week's episode will no doubt be aided by the return of John Cena and hopefully WWE will be able to get all their stars home for the show this time around, avoiding another Crown Jewel refusal-to-take-off fiasco.

It's also worth noting that SmackDown earned a 0.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic, which also ranked as number one in the category for the night.

The numbers are slightly improving - which is better than the usual drop off - so here's hoping that SmackDown can continue to rope in the viewers as we wander down the Road to WrestleMania 36.
