All Elite Wrestling's Jade Cargill was the subject of WWE interest prior to signing with her new home promotion.

This is according to a new report from Fightful Select stating that WWE's interest went as far as having Cargill attend a tryout, though she ultimately ended up not signing for the world's biggest wrestling company. There's no word on when, exactly, this went down, though Cargill's AEW signing was announced via official press release on 12 November.

Jade's multi-year deal was confirmed the night after she had debuted on AEW Dynamite, confronting Cody Rhodes with an in-ring promo before being run off by Brandi Rhodes. Teasing Shaquille O'Neal's AEW arrival was the segment's key goal, though Jade continued her feud with Brandi last week, beating her down in a backstage segment on Dynamite.

As well as Shaq, Cargill has also hinted at a potential alliance with Vickie Guerrero and Nyla Rose, who held officials back to prevent them from tending to Brandi in the aforementioned beatdown.

Whatever happens next, it's clear that AEW has big plans for the former college basketball player, who is inspired by Chyna and is currently training with Dustin Rhodes.
