Roman Reigns Says Jon Moxley "Really Screwed Up" The Shield
Strong words from WWE's 'Big Dog' towards the reigning AEW Champ.
Roman Reigns told fans during a recent Zoom chat with Mania Club that AEW's Jon Moxley "messed around and just left us".
The reigning Universal Champion and WWE locker room leader said, "Well I guess Ambrose or Moxley really screwed that up" when asked about The Shield's various reunions during the final few years of Mox's run with the company.
Shots fired or a bit of gentle ribbing from the 'Big Dog'?
It's hard to tell, but there did seem to be an edge to Roman's words. He got a tad prickly when The Shield topic was brought up, and also said he thinks they "did the reunion thing a few years ago a little too much". Then, Reigns said he doesn't think the faction will ever be recreated with new members or brought back as the original trio.
They'd need Moxley to trade AEW freedom for WWE again, and that ain't gonna' happen.
Reigns did say that he's proud of what The Shield lads achieved together. They were a group of "no-namers" who ended up causing a huge splash, and they changed WWE's top line scene for good.
