Ronda Rousey Ruled Out Of WWE WrestleMania 32

Rousey Vs Stephanie is not happening.

Ronda Rousey has been ruled out of WWE WrestleMania 32, Dave Meltzer reports in the wrestling observer newsletter. She has confirmed the Mania role is not happening. Instead, she'll be in Indonesia shooting a movie during March and April. The UFC Champion had been a target for the WWE, who wanted to promote her in a Mania main event against Stephanie McMahon. There had also been talk of The Rock and Rousey versus Triple H and Stephanie. WWE were very keen on making it happen. They have openly been courting Ronda, with several posts on wwe.com and WWE social media. UFC were always reluctant to endorse any such Rousey to WWE deal, and even her WrestleMania 31 cameo raised some eyebrows in MMA circles. But now Rousey herself has ruled it out, after taking a movie role that will be filming in Indonesia during the WrestleMania period. Rousey is set to be away in March and April 2016, making it impossible for WWE to book her in any role. That movie role could also have UFC implications. She was expected to have a fight at UFC 200 in July 2016, but fitting a three month training camp around her shooting schedule could become an issue. Rousey's acting career is certainly taking flight, and she has talked in recent months about retiring from MMA within the next few years. She has teased that fans should enjoy her MMA fights while they can. With the exception of a Cris Cyborg fight, she has done it all in MMA. But UFC President Dana White will be determined to get at least a few more years out of his top drawing star.
