Ronda Rousey Turns The Heel Heat Up Further On WWE Fans
The #kayfabekiller is at it again...
Ronda Rousey might have just pulled off a heel masterstroke.
The currently absent, but very much still contracted WWE superstar got herself into hot water after appearing on Steve O's podcast and lambasting fans for being unappreciative. Given the fact that she spent her "final" days with WWE before disappearing to spend time with her family doing exactly the same thing, you'd think someone might have picked up on the story hints there.
But no, the comments turned some fans against her in a frenzy. So naturally, she took another shot on Twitter.
Following the no-doubt absolute catastrophe that was her mentions, Rousey took to Twitter with a hashtag kayfabe killer follow-up with old favourites such as "wrestling IS fake", "UFC is the only real deal", "fans are silly" and of course "wrestlers have big baby egos":
Cue an inevitably measured and well-thought-out response from wrestling Twitter - including such social media luminaries as The Iron Sheikh, in fact - as the pot Rousey was intending to stir stirred itself up a whirlpool.
But is it a work or a shoot? You should know the answer to this even if some are missing the point entirely and taking it as an opportunity to criticise Rousey. She's still contracted, she's still a fan-hating heel and now she has an ally in that area in the shape of Shayna Baszler, who is doing her best to whip up similar reactions with her gimmick:

Rousey then kept going, proving how little she thinks of the seriously put-out marks responding to her by saying her statement was no more than passing comments:
Heel architecture of the highest order: give someone an opportunity to get VERY upset and then pull the rug out by saying it was merely an after-thought and not some cleverly constructed diatribe. She knows what she's doing.
