Sami Zayn vented on Twitter earlier that he does not agree with WWE's decision to strip him of his Intercontinental title belt.

On Tuesday night, the company made the decision to relieve Zayn of his title, scheduling a tournament to crown a new Champion which will begin on this week's Friday Night SmackDown on FOX.

The former IC title holder doesn't seem pleased with this decision, however, and his statement on Twitter reads as follows:

'I disagree with this decision and no matter what anyone says, I am still undefeated and therefore still the Intercontinental Champion'

Zayn hasn't been seen on WWE programming since WrestleMania 36, after choosing to stay at home during the current global situation.

WWE did reportedly say that talents didn't have to work during this situation and the company wouldn't hold it against them going forward if they decided to be at home with their families instead.

It hasn't been announced exactly which SmackDown stars will be battling for a chance to hold the prestigious belt, but stars such as Daniel Bryan, Baron 'King' Corbin and the returning Jeff Hardy will all surely be chomping at the bit to add to their CVs.
