Slight Ratings Increase For This Week's WWE SmackDown

People like karaoke? Uh oh...

The latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown on FOX pulled in an average of 1.905 million viewers, according to Showbuzz Daily.

This was a marked improvement from last week's 1.777 million average, which was the lowest since the show moved to FOX in October 2019. Alongside the 7.2% ratings increase from the previous week, SmackDown also scored a 0.5 in the super important 18-49 demographic - a score which was #1 on the night.

It's clear fans weren't completely turned off by an underwhelming episode of SmackDown, which saw Jeff Hardy beat The Miz and Women's Tag Team Champions Sasha Banks and Bayley successfully defend their belts against Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross - both via roll-up. Elsewhere both the SmackDown Tag Team Championship match (between The New Day and Cesaro and Shinksuke Nakamura) and Lacey Evans Vs Naomi ended in no contests, with the latter coming after a particularly painful karaoke segment.

Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman's feud was also promoted further with a replay of their Money in the Bank Universal Championship match.

Next week's show will see AJ Styles defend his Intercontinental Championship against Matt Riddle...and hopefully not another karaoke competition.
